And when we say nail, we mean it LITERALLY!
That’s right, the wonder-woman that is Stephanie Staunton has set up a truly inspiring event to raise awareness for those living with mental health issues. Stephanie’s event, Nailing Mental Health will take place Sunday 2nd April at the InterContinental Hotel, O2, London and, let me tell you, there is already soooo much buzz surrounding this event and it’s really not hard to see why!
Lets start with the fact that you can get a shape and polish for only £5! Yes, don’t worry, you read that right. For only £5 you will be treated to a shape and paint with a difference! Your nails will receive a gorgeous glittery green makeover, to represent the colour of the mental health ribbon.
As if that wasn’t enough to get you excited there will also be goodie bags and a raffle with lots of amazing prizes AND…yes there’s more! You will be taking part in a world record attempt! This coming Sunday, Steph and a further 350 super talented nail technicians will be on a race against the clock as they aim to paint 6078 peoples nails in 8 hours!
Mental health is something that is very close to Celebrity Manicurist Stephanie Stauntons heart, she set-up Nailing Mental Health after suffering from mental health issues herself, with the aim of helping raise awareness of the rising problem of mental health. The overall aim is to raise £30K for Mind Charity and Samaritans as well as Nailing Mental Health, which needs to raise £5k to achieve charity status in year 1. Once Nailing Mental Health achieves its registered charity status, they will be helping people first hand; paying for private counselling or interim therapy while they wait the 12-18 weeks currently required on the NHS.
So if you want to take part in this wonderful event then head on over to the InterContinental Hotel, O2, London this Sunday! It will be a fun day out, you will get a super cute and affordable mani and you will be helping support an exceptionally worthy cause!
We are all ROO-ting for you Steph! 😉💚💅
